Well, after his birth, I bled for about 4 weeks, then started my first normal period on Dec 21. If I've calculated correctly, I should have started again on Jan 18th, which would make me about 1 week & 2 days late. Please someone tell me that this is normal. I don't want to have to go to the store for a pg test. My husband would die!! Erin

Posts: 111 02/01/03 10:57:18	Wow!!! Well, I've breastfed both of mine and AF is kinda weird with B/Fing. But I think it would be normal to have some weird cycles in the beginning. Mine were kinda irregular after DD and I haven't gotten AF since DS was born. Have you been using protection? If not or if using a barrier method, I'd probably test just for my sanity!! Let us know how it goes, hon!!!

Posts: 22 02/05/03 08:46:35	Well, I called my doctor last Monday (1/27) & they said to take a test so I did that evening & it was negative. She said to call her this week if I haven't started yet & I still haven't. I will probably call her today. I stopped breatfeeding mid January...maybe that's the problem. As for protection, not really, other that the withdrawal method. Which isn't very smart on our part. As soon as I start, I am getting on B/C pills. Thanks for the response! Erin

Posts: 111 02/15/03 18:06:57	It does take a while for your body to work everything out and you may have odd periods for a while. After Caitlin, mine started getting one day shorter each month from--31 days to 27 days--I didn't think I was "o"ing but thought I had a luteal phase defect. But then I got pg again 2 months later.
